Moko Khachatryan Armenian, b. 1969

Moko Khachatryan was born in Yerevan in the family of outstanding Armenian painter Roudolf Khachatryan. She grew up in the atmosphere of art and culture and began to paint at the age of 2. Her constant conversations on art with her father raised in her love towards the art.


Moko Khachatryan’s paintings have been exhibited in the United States, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Switzerland, as well as in her native Armenia. Her works are also part of the permanent collections of the Museums of Modern Art in both Kuwait and Yemen. Khachatryan’s approach to creation is guided by her perceptions pertaining to various philosophical, sensual, and emotional topics. She believes that thoughts can sometimes destroy emotions, and never tries to ‘question’ when she paints.
