Press Release

Los Angeles based artist Seta Manoukian creates striking painted images on canvas and paper that depict common objects removed from daily context in combination with abstracted organic forms. Manoukian’s work is informed by the experience of diasporas as an Armenian born in Beruit and by living through the first ten years of the country’s devastating civil war. The artist’s current visual language is further derived from her spiritual practice as a Buddhist nun in the Nyingma tradition.

As requested by the artist, fifty percent of all sales are requested to be donated to Ari Bhod, the American Foundation for Tibetan Cultural Preservation, a 501-(c)(3) non-profit corporation.
